Protecting Active Directory

DPM is utilizing the native Windows Backup Utility for backing up and restoring Active Directory system state.

Below are the steps:-

AD is protected via System State. The following screen shot shows a manual creation of recovery point.

Upon selecting the DC’s System State, we get the following.

On the DPM server, using the Backup tool found in the Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tool menu, the file can be restore into either the original location, alternate location or single folder.
